Homeopathic doctors have been working under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) demanded to rise their salaries.Doctors belonged to this category hold a meeting at Company Bagh and passed a resolution ,if the Government not increased their salaries they would be free to start the state level agitation as soon as possible.
Dr Hitesh Mahajan and Dr Gurbeer Singh the leaders of NHRM Homeopathic Doctors Association said after the meeting , that government of Punjab is not sincere to rise up the salaries of Homeopathic Doctors.But the salaries of allopathic doctors have been increased from 30000 to 37000 by the Government , those have been working under the same NHRM. The homeopathic doctors have been working from 20 months on 20000 salaries, and also performing the emergency duty in the rural area. In Up state doctors have been working under NHRM receving 22 salary from the first day of joining, same way in Chandigarh doctors received 23000 salary bit doctors in Punjab have been working of less salary. We demanded to regularize the services of all homeopathic doctors working under NRHM and provided them the required staff and infrastructure according to the directions of letter no 2-84-10 issued by the Government, added the leaders of doctors. Dr Naveen, Dr Kamal, Dr Varinderjeet were also present at that time.
