The garbage dump problem is a common issue in Amritsar City and no
strict actions are taken on the same. Till the time it was not

generating extra harm to the people it could have been bit ignored but

when it the question is on the health of the general people it becomes

the issue of concern. The increasing rate of mosquitoes day by day is

creating problem in the comfortable and healthy lives of Amritsar

people. The treat is rising as a terror among the people, which in the

result is increasing the harmful diseases like dengue and malaria.

From last six years approx 2,000 people of Amritsar are suffering from

the disease. On the other hand as per government statistics and facts

36 dengue and 167 malaria cases are found. But the head of the

malaria department is denying the fact and is not ready to accept it.

The health minister and head of the malaria department are found

blaming each other for the same which is affecting the lives of the

people harshly.

As per the experts this disease is harmful and decreases the rate of

platelet cells in the human body which require the same group blood to

fulfill the deficiencies. Here the matter of concern the latest blood

donation machines are only available in two civil hospitals Adlakha

and forties but the huge amount of patients comparatively are admitted

in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital where there is a manual machine for the

same. The blood blank who is giving the assurance to provide blood to

the patients does not have enough blood itself. To fulfill the need

the blood banks are coordinating with the colleges and societies for

the blood donation bank to overcome the problem.

Speaking on the same had of malaria department Charanjit Singh said

that approximate 20,000 pamplets are distributed to make the people

aware on the issue and team of 35 people of malaria department are

working on the eradication of the diseases. On the other hand Head of

Health department of Municipal Corporation said that coordinating with

counselors of 65 wards of the city they have starting fogging the

whole city for which the team of 17 people of the department is

working. But the talk on the problem could not be done with the health

minister whether after trying to contact her.
