Finally NACO replied to all of my queries under RTI Act, may be within
(02/03/2010 to 14/06/2010) more than four months and in three phases.
But, I am failing to understand the "Special RTI Act", which NACO
follows and dare to take a time frame of more than four months!
Any way, the queries and replies(14/06/2010) are as follows:
Point 4 Query:
Has the counseling set up at LNJP Hospital, New Delhi been rectified
to ensure Audiovisual Privacy?
Reply:
As discussed with SMO, ART Center, MAMC(LNJP Hospital), New
Delhi.Counseling services at the center have been improved with
partitions/ curtains for Audio/visual privacy.
Point 7 Query:
What is NACO's mechanism to ensure coordination about different life
support equipments use for indoor treatment which are not available at
any indoor treatment providing hospital( like Dialysis machine is not
available at STM, Kolkata), but available at other hospitals?
Reply:
Essentially NACO takes care of facilities like HIV Testing,CD4 Kits,
ARV drugs(Adult& Pediatric), Viral load if required, drugs for PMTCT,
facility for EIDetc. However all other investigations and facilities
have to be provided by the institutions where ART and other services
are located. This is a larger issue of health system facility and does
not pertain specifically to NACO.
